HSE First Aid at Work Training Course in Essex. Our Open Courses are conducted at our training rooms in Colchester and we offer onsite First Aid Training in surrounding areas such as Suffolk, Norfolk, East Anglia, London. All of our training our courses are conducted in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and are run using DVD, Power Point presentations, with practical training, which aids student retention of the skills learnt.
We have people travel for our First Aid Training Courses from Braintree, Chelmsford, Clacton, Colchester, Maldon, Tiptree, Tendring, Ipswich, and surrounding areas in Essex and Suffolk, East Anglia. We also offer on site First Aid Training in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, London for groups and Companies at your premises. We will bring all the necessary First Aid Training equipment to enable us to conduct on site training for you if you wish.

This First Aid at Work course introduces you to Primary and Secondary Care, and is designed to train individuals and company staff that require HSE approved First Aid at Work training to meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (1981) Regulations.
This HSE approved course will provide all the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services. |

| FAW First Aid Course in Essex Training Structure: |
- To Understand the role of the first aider including reference to:
- The importance of preventing cross infection, with the use of barriers
- The need for recording incidents and actions, in the accident book
- The use of available First Aid Equipment
- Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
- Administer CPR
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

| Also in addition, attendees will learn how to administer First Aid to a casualty with: |
- Injuries to bones, muscles and joints. This includes suspected spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
- Sudden poisoning
- Anaphylactic shock
- Recognize the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes).
- There is also an exam, and assessment at the end of the course.

We travel to conduct Onsite First Aid Training to Clacton, Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Maldon, Tendring, Tiptree, Sudbury, Ipswich, Frinton, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Hadleigh, Norwich and all surrounding areas, as well as at our Training Centre in Ipswich Road in Colchester.
