What is DAN? DAN Stands for Diver Alert Network. We offer DAN training courses in Essex though our Instructors based here at Essex First Aid Training. We can teach and guide you through as a DFR (Diver First Responder) or alternatively you can select anyone of the four separate modules listed below (O2 Provider, Advanced O2 Provider, AED or HMLI) and learn these as separate courses within their own right to suite your own training preferences.We can also train you to complete your CPR certification through our CPR course training programme |

The Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course represents entry-level training to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to better recognise possible dive-related injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility. The prerequisites are a minimum age of 12, and current CPR training from a recognized agency, such as the SDI CPR1ST course or the PADI EFR course. This can be provided for you at additional cost. The Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course is an training program for those individuals who have successfully completed the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course within the past year (12 months). It is designed to train Oxygen Providers to use a positive pressure valve (as the MTV100) and/or a bag-valve-mask (BVM); depending on local legal laws and regulations. |

The Automated External Defibrillator course (AED) for Scuba Diving represents entry level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to better recognise the warning signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and administer first aid using Basic Life Support techniques and an Automated External Defibrillator while activating the local emergency medical services, (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility. |
